Are you in to your Career? Step 7

Most people work to live. They have a job because they need to pay the bills. When you love what you do - it creates an energy that builds momentum. It actually propels your career even further.

Last time we covered why you need enthusiasm in your work. Your attitude and whole wellbeing will shine to your boss, colleagues, customers and with relationships outside of work.

So far we’ve covered :

  2. How is your overall work ethic?

  3. What happens when you cut corners?

  4. Your body language doesn’t lie

  6. Why your attitude is everything

There’s always a misconception about a high profile job being easy and glamourous especially in PR, television or the media. It’s just not true. Anyone in these industries will tell you, you work long, long hours. The majority of the time you work so hard, that you work every single weekend. Come Saturday night you’ve in your pjs working on your laptop in to the wee hours of the morning.

TIP# 7 Be passionate about your job

When you love what you do, it doesn’t actually feel like work anymore. It’s exciting. Now I’m not saying it’s easy - because it’s never easy until you get to the top. Be passionate about your job and see how this positivity helps you in all areas of your life. What is the job you are most passionate about? If you aren’t in it yet, what steps will you take to get a job in the career you want?
