Listen and learn

WHEN YOU ARE SILENT THE WORLD OPENS

Do you listen? Be honest here.

There is the difference between listening and active listening. Do you know the difference?

When you listen, you give your attention to sound or perhaps an action. You interpret the information or situation.

But when you actively listen, you concentrate, understand and remember what is being said. Actively listening involves empathy and taking away judgemental views.

There is a voice that doesn’t use words.
LISTEN
— Rumi

Remember to wait until the other person has finished speaking before you respond. If you keep interrupting the other person, you are not even listening to what they are saying. It’s rude and thoughtless.

You can develop more enriched relationships when you actively listen. Be kind. Listen actively. Be a better version of you.

What’s one thing you can do to actively listen to the other person? I’d love to read your ideas below.
